Circular links

If you link New York to States of the United States and then click on New York, which is now blue, nothing happens. I think this will be very confusing for people. If the value of the States of the United States page is to indicate which States pages haven't been created, then we can't link any state name to this page, which raises the question of what would link here. I have been linking States with no pages to the us via [[United States#Alaska|Alaska]] markup...
