Yemen is a Middle-Eastern country that is especially vulnerable to rises in food prices created by demand for biofuels. The hike in prices has already caused rioting in this country. Only 13.6% of the land is arable most of this land is vulnerable to desertification. Jatropha is endemic to Yemen.
