The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) provides certification (eco-labelling) of products (such as timber and paper) from well-managed forests.

Independent Research Finds FSC to be Most Effective Certiﬁcation Option for Sustainable Forest Management. According to FSC's own website, a Montreal-based consulting firm has named them the world most's effective certification system for achieving sustainable forest management in Canada.
