The Core Agriculture Support Program is a part of the "Strategic Framework for Subregional Cooperation in Agriculture" for the Greater Mekong Subregion Program, which includes Cambodia, China, Lao, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. The program works to increase cross-border trade and investment in agriculture. A major part will focus on ensuring "that the benefits from new opportunities opening up in agriculture through biofuel crops and the attendant new technologies, and the opening of borders among GMS nations will be spread out equitably."[1] The program is supported by the Asian Development Bank.
