The RSB has released "Version One" of the "Principles on Sustainable Biofuel Production"

1. Biofuel production shall follow all applicable laws of the country in which they occur, and shall endeavour to follow all international treaties relevant to biofuels’ production to which the relevant country is a party.

Biofuels production MUST follow all applicable international law. To allow for situations where this is not required is to invite circumventing of the laws and would be unfair to all producers who do choose to follow all international laws.
