The International Conference on Biofuels: Biofuels as a driving force of sustainable development was an event convened by the Brazilian government, in São Paulo, Brazil, 17-21 November 2008.
The conference had a comprehensive agenda, addressing biofuels and their relation to energy security, climate change, land use change, life cycle analysis, food security, income generation, ecosystems, technology, trade, and socio-environmental standards.[1]

- Brazilian President Wants Europe to Invest in Biofuel in Africa, 24 November 2008, by Brazzil Magazine: Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva spoke in support of international cooperation at the closing of the International Conference on Biofuels, 21 November.
