Cameroon is a nation in western Africa.

Lowland gorillas are found in the rainforests of Cameroon, but forest clearing for subsistence agriculture, commercial logging, civil unrest and the expanding bushmeat trade threaten the apes' habitat and survival. REDD could propose economic incentives for avoiding deforestation and degradation of tropical forests in Cameroon, while protecting biodiversity.
