Information about biofuels and bioenergy in Bulgaria. Bulgaria is a European Union member, located in South-Eastern Europe and adjoins the Black Sea. Biofuels are an emerging but potentially important industry with biodiesel probably the most promising product.

Issues
- Sunflowers are probably the best option for Bulgarian farmers because of the regional market in Turkey, but rapeseed production is expected to increase with assistance in the form of seeds from Germany.
